PrincipalsDr. Anthony “Tony” Ingraffea, Ph.D. (Colorado, 1977), P.E. (Colorado and New York) has 35 years of experience in structural mechanics. He is President of FAC, and the Dwight C. Baum Professor of Engineering at Cornell University where he has co-authored with his students and research associates over 250 papers in computational and experimental fracture mechanics, and directed over $35M in externally-funded R&D. Dr. Paul “Wash” Wawrzynek, Ph.D. (Cornell, 1991) has over 20 years of experience in computational fracture mechanics. He is Chief Technology Officer of FAC, is the principal author of the FRANC suite of codes, and specializes in turbo-machinery and aerospace structures. Wash is also a Senior Research Associate at Cornell University as a member of the Cornell Fracture Group. Dr. Bruce Carter, Ph. D. (Manitoba, 1992), has over 20 years of experience in geomechanics and computational fracture mechanics. He is FAC’s Principal Engineer, and specializes in simulation of crack growth in complex turbo-machinery components and in coupled fluid-fracture processes. Bruce is also a Senior Research Associate as a member of the Cornell Fracture Group.
